Good Friday is the day on which we commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ as part of the Paschal Triduum.

Easter Vigil

On Holy Saturday, the church is in darkness and we abstain from the celebration of the sacrifice of the Mass.  Holy Communion may only be given in the form of Viaticum.
