Incarnation added to National Register of Historic Places

Very few changes have been made to the Church of the Incarnation since it was built in 1910. Generations of families sat on the same hardwood pews, admired the same brilliant stained glass windows and marveled at the same altar. This longevity of preservation, as well as its architectural beauty and cultural significance within Minneapolis, awarded the Church of the Incarnation a spot on the National Park Service's national listing of Historic Places.
In the coming months and years, Church of the Incarnation will be working to honor the history of the church while looking toward its future. Some projects include:
• Digitizing historical documents dating as far back as 1898.
• Creating a small museum within the church to honor the changes and consistencies in 105 years of services.
• Accessing the funds available to locations on National Registry of Historic Places to do long-needed upkeep on the exterior of the Church & Rectory.

Se han realizado muy pocos cambios en la Iglesia de la Encarnación desde que se construyó en 1910. Generaciones de familias se sentaron en los mismos bancos de madera, admiraron las mismas vidrieras brillantes y se maravillaron ante el mismo altar. Esta longevidad de conservación, así como su belleza arquitectónica y su importancia cultural dentro de Minneapolis, otorgaron a la Iglesia de la Encarnación un lugar en la lista nacional de Lugares Históricos del Servicio de Parques Nacionales.
